ok so is there another way for me to listen or organize my music that isn't with itunes. in my openion itunes doesn't do a good job of organizing music. by the way i have about 100 gigs of music on a external hard drive. I'm guessing that mac doesn't have music files like a my music folder like windows or am i rong. i don't actually own the mac yet however I'm playing around with the one my sister has. if i can find a salution for music witch is what i do on a computer most of the time I'll be happy with a mac.

you can make a music folder, download vlc media player that should suit your music needs.
Actually, my mac has come with a music folder, and yeah VLC is pretty good. I don't see how you think ITunes doesn't organize well, I actually like it better than other options. You just have to be sure the tags are set right on your files.
